Foreign Affairs Journalist on a Global Warming Crusade

Thomas Friedman first cut his teeth reporting in the Middle East. His first book, “From Beirut to Jerusalem,” a collection of of mostly newspaper pieces he wrote, helped establish him as one of the foremost commentators on the situation in the Middle East. He has also written extensively on Globalization, specifically in his two books “The Lexus and the Olive Tree” and “The World is Flat.” Recently, however, it seems that the only topic that Friedman focuses on is climate change and the need for a “green revolution.” I miss the Thomas Friedman that reported on international affairs. While it’s true that climate change is a world problem, I feel like Friedman has strayed from the area where he did his best writing.
